Sustainable Sarasota is an innovative program of Sarasota County Government, envisioning a vibrant, healthy and safe community, where the economy is robust and globally competitive, environmental quality is preserved and all citizens have equitable opportunities to share in the benefits.
Its mission is to foster sustainability within Sarasota County Government and throughout the community through research, partnerships and education. The ultimate goal of Sustainable Sarasota is to facilitate awareness and behavior change to move towards sustainability in lifestyles, business practices and government policies to enhance the quality of life of our community.
