Since 1953, Sarasota Coastal Credit Union has been serving the financial needs of the community by promoting the economic well-being of its members, including those of modest means, through a system that is cooperative, member-owned, volunteer directed, not-for profit, and therefore tax-exempt. SCCU provides a secure financial alternative for all its members by offering financial products and services that are the most affordable in the marketplace.

SCCU recognizes its responsibility to serve the needs of the community at large by committing to doing its part to “Go Green.” SCCU’s Environmental Mission Statement is: “SCCU is an organization committed to the belief that we hold a responsibility to promote, endorse, and implement environmentally sound business practices that will lessen our impact on the environment within those communities in which we conduct business. We will strive to lessen our impact on the environment by:

1)    Ensuring that leadership, staff, and members are aware of environmental issues that impact our business and mission
2)    Conduct our daily operations in a manner that contributes to the health and well being of our employees and members, as well as the communities in which we operate
3)    Conserve natural resources through the reduction of waste, and promoting the recycling of materials used in our daily operations
4)    Consider all opportunities to purchase those products, which are recycled or minimize waste
5)    Advocate environmental stewardship through our employees and their families.
